Empowerment and Uplifting Foundation (EUF) held its 2nd Annual Community "Back to School Bash" on August 18, 2018 at the College Dr. Playground

Franklin, Virginia - Corey Olds, President, stated "Our goal this year was to distribute 500 back packs. We wanted to ensure that no child went back to school without supplies.  This has become our staple event."

The event was attended by many citizens of Franklin. The estimated back packs given was 300. In addition to school supplies, free clothes, manicures for the young girls, bounce houses, and voter registration many families were empowered by this event. The weather played a role in cutting the event short.

However, not before U.S. Congressman Bobby Scott of the 3rd Congressional District in Virginia addressed the citizens and children about the importance of getting a quality education.
